Meet Karen Shelton

Karen obtained her associate’s degree in business management from Commonwealth Business College in Virginia Beach, VA. She has an extensive background in business administration. She worked as an administrative assistant to the director of safety at Newport News Shipyard for several years and then as an administrative assistant in commercial banking with Sovran/NationsBank.

In 1998, after taking a couple years to be a stay-at-home mom, she was first introduced to the hearing aid industry as an administrative assistant for the Mathews Hearing Aid Center. In 2001, when The Audiology Offices took over as owners, Karen remained with them and completed certification as an audiology assistant for diagnostic testing. Karen is involved in many aspects of the business. Her organizational and administrative skills keep our offices in tip-top shape. In addition to her business responsibilities, Karen assists patients with basic troubleshooting and cleaning of their hearing aids. Her commitment to excellent care helps to create a comfortable atmosphere for our patients.

A native of Virginia, Karen grew up in Lancaster County. She currently resides in Weems with her husband Michael. In her spare time she loves to garden and spend time on their boat.
