Kevin E McCurdy, M.Ed., CCC-A

Clinical Audiologist

Meet Kevin E McCurdy, M.Ed., CCC-A

“Providing excellent hearing care gives us the opportunity to help patients with their vital connection to others.  Without good hearing, we often lose that connection.”

Kevin is a graduate of the University of Virginia having earned his Batchelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology and his Master’s degree in Audiology at UVA.  He spent over 22 years providing hearing care for patients at a practice in Roanoke and Charlottesville.  Kevin then spent more than 14 years in practice management with offices across the state of Virginia working both with a private family-owned practice as well as a corporate retail practice with a major hearing instrument manufacturer.

Kevin has comprehensive patient care experience, hearing instrument technology expertise, as well as clinical audiological evaluation expertise.  His varied experiences have given him the knowledge to help solve most hearing loss problems his patients encounter.

Kevin is an advocate for early intervention when a hearing loss is found as he has seen how long patients often wait to get the help needed and then realize how earlier help might have given them a better outcome.

Kevin is a licensed audiologist and licensed hearing instrument specialist in Virginia and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A) from the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association. He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Audiology (FAAA) and has earned board certification from the National Board for Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences. Kevin currently serves as a state exam specialist for those seeking to be licensed in the state of Virginia and he is committed to ongoing education and continually earns continuing education credits.

A native West Virginian, Kevin grew up in the Roanoke valley when he moved there at a young age.  Besides living in Roanoke and Salem, he also spent 20 years in Charlottesville.  Kevin and his wife Leah recently moved to Gloucester to be closer to their grown children and grandchildren.

Kevin is excited to join The Audiology Offices and will be seeing patients mainly at the Gloucester location.
